The Cornerstone Bookstore (Cornerway*) is aimed at encouraging members to seek knowledge and understanding of the Bible by reading not just the Bible but also
inspired writings by men and women of God. We believe that, in spite of the many teachings members receive, reading is a useful means by which to gain knowledge of God’s purpose and ways.

The Bible in itself is sufficient, however, the reading of inspired literature is beneficial as it, at times, directs our attention to particular areas. 

As a bilingual church books can be found in both languages.

Searching to locate a particular title? Or conversely, not sure what would be a good book to address a particular aspect of Christian life? Please feel free to pop into the bookshop before or after the Sunday morning service and and we will do what we can to assist you.

Library

We have a unique lending library whereby the books of many of our members are available to lend.  They are neatly categorized and cover a broad spectrum of subjects.  The catalogue is accessed on line or through an app. The collection and delivery takes place on Sunday morning.

Reading the Bible

Our pastor James is passionate in encouraging people to read the Bible and experience the word of God in their lives.  There are two fundamentals; read slowly and read forever.  Christians read the Bible continually for the rest of their lives, and love it.  So don’t rush through it and be prepared to read in full, many times.

If you are new to the Christian faith or seeking to know more then read one of the short books of the Gospels.  There are four of them, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.  These tell the story of Jesus.

If you are a believer then try and set aside time each day to relax and read the Bible.  Our advice is that each time you read, you read from one of four sections.  Just a paragraph or section from each.  The sections are Genesis to Esther, Job to Song of Songs, Isaiah to Malachi, Mattew to Acts, Romans to Revelation.

Once you have finished a section, go back to the beginning of that section.

The only thing you need is a Bible, some sticky tabs to keep your place, and a cup of coffee.
